Counsellors and therapists looking to develop their understanding of deeper aspects of the mind will find this a fascinating workshop.
This special CPD workshop has been designed not only for those wishing to use hypnosis themselves, but also those that want to explore many thought-provoking ideas that could develop their practice and increase flexibility with clients through fascinating insights into the deeper, hidden subconscious mind that shapes a clients emotions and behaviour.
During the day we will also outline the core ideas of hypnosis by exploring various approaches to hypnosis and the subconscious from it's earliest uses to the latest ideas. We will also be looking at some of the controversies surrounding hypnosis – including why some might challenge whether hypnosis actually exists! …
At the heart of the day is a positive and practical understanding of the subject, including a range of demonstrations as well as learning and practising hypnotic techniques yourself - however, please be assured that there is nothing scary or worrying about this!
Please note - you are very much encouraged to participate to get the most out of the workshop, but of course if you feel uncomfortable with any exercises please be aware that they are not mandatory.
We will also develop an understanding of techniques of self-hypnosis, and how this can be utilised for practical self-help and personal development.

Note this is an introductory CPD workshop – it does give a good understanding of the core elements of hypnosis including excellent techniques for personal development, but cannot guarentee to provide the in-depth knowledge to successfully practice hypnotherapy with others.
Due to legal restrictions, please note that the minimum age for participants is 18 yrs.
This workshop will be of interest to those individuals working in applied psychology, such as counsellors and psychotherapists wanting an introduction to the topic. Particularly those who work integratively, pluralistically and those who want to start adding more skills into their repertoire, or would like to explore a different approach to the mind.
A CPD certificate will be provided.
